What’s conscious communication?
As old, masculine, and profit-only driven structures crumble. And as tired modes of advertising are being challenged by the wider collective – it’s time to reimagine how we speak.
While we might all be busy building more soul-aligned, ethical or socially progressive brands/services – our language, stories, and advertising strategies need to up-level too.
The best way to think about the communication modes and models we need to move away from, is to look at any mainstream and traditional brand. Which seeks to manipulate for profit, while undervaluing human integrity (and the planet).
Not to mention the ones who ‘pretend’ to be good. Who are actually greenwashing and leveraging every opportunity to blind and mislead audiences so they can boost their bottom line.
If you’ve got this far into reading this, I’m most likely preaching to the converted. So, here’s more about what conscious communication can do for you (and your brand)...
Firstly, it’s about understanding yourself, and the energetics that are at play. Are you selling, or marketing from a place of fear, and scarcity? Or are you coming from a position of empowered awareness, inclusivity, truth, and trust?
Secondly, it’s not about how ‘good’ you look. It’s about how authentic you are. From the stories you share, to your overall business direction, unravelling untruths is the best way to start before you share anything.
Thirdly, it’s then about digging deeper into your brand’s archetype – for the sake of understanding your magic, strength, and contribution. As well as the more hidden edges and limitations of what it can and can’t enable for followers and audiences.
Being an ‘exper’t is the danger. While being on a shared journey is far richer; allowing for mistakes, growth, change, and REALNESS.
Excavating these things can move and shift you in a way that you perhaps couldn’t have imagined. Which in turn, impacts language, storytelling, and advertising approaches. And it’s interesting – simply energetically, that the more aligned we get with our truth and purpose, the more magnetic we become. Making for a far more intuitive way to be, connect, and express.
This is a tiny tip of the iceberg. If you’d like to understand to honour your truth in your branding and advertising, feel free to reach out to me.
